This is a great opportunity to work in the Direct Marketing department for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. We are an ambitious and friendly team and are looking for someone with a passion for Direct Marketing to join the team for a 12-14-month maternity cover role to help us to shape our cash acquisition and gaming appeal programme. Campaigning activity will include direct mail, door drops, inserts, some digital campaigning and the development of the charity’s gaming products. They will contribute to the departmental strategy, producing budget forecasts and report on campaign activity. The successful candidate will have responsibility for one direct report (Senior Acquisition Direct Marketing Officer).

The main responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Development of strategy for cash appeals and gaming (including production of  annual campaign plans and budgets as well as researching and building business cases to test new routes to market)
  • Overseeing the management of the cold cash appeal and gaming programme, working in partnership with direct report to empower them to run the programme.
  • Key stakeholder management – including working with external agencies (creative, media, print) and internal teams such as our fantastic marketing analysis team who help us to better understand campaign performance.
