Mansell's Charity Chariot Ride
Mansell and Great Ormond Street Hospital's redevelopment team
On 9 September 2008 a Roman chariot rode into Great Ormond Street Hospital on the latest leg of its epic 1,300 mile journey across the UK. The event is to mark construction company Mansell’s 100th Anniversary and its support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity’s redevelopment programme and fundraising need.
The pedal-powered chariot is flanked by Mansell’s own Roman Centurions – a tribute to the company’s 100-year-old Roman logo and will tour between each of Mansell’s 21 regional offices over the next two months.

Money raised from the London team’s efforts will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation and London Youth Games and will contribute towards the £1million fundraising target the company has set for its Centenary Year.
Mansell is a major local employer, with over 500 staff based at their Islington Office and a regional turnover of £240 million.
