Abbey smashes fundraising target

Abbey smashed their original £50,000 fundraising target with their phenomenal achievement of £141,632.

We are delighted with the support we received from our staff and customers for our first charity of the year partnership.  All expectations were greatly exceeded and we are thrilled to almost triple our original target and provide funding for three projects for the hospital.

How Abbey's fundraising will help

So far the money raised has funded:

  • a playroom for patients on Elephant Ward

  • the children’s Christmas party

And in the future it will be funding:

  • three years of  Go Create interactive workshops for children that will bring art, dance and music into the wards

We’re hugely grateful to Abbey and their customers. By funding a playroom, parties and art activities, Abbey will give our patients fun and welcome distractions at a very stressful time in their lives.
