Macfarlanes LLP has an ongoing charity partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Fundraising and volunteering
Macfarlanes relationship with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity creates opportunities for members of the firm to volunteer to assist the hospital in a variety of ways - these range from collecting money at the F1 British Grand Prix to helping at the annual Children’s Christmas Party. The proximity of the hospital makes the relationship particularly relevant and volunteers are drawn from all parts of the firm.
Macfarlanes employees will be taking on a different kind of challenge to support the charity in May 2010. Twenty-five intrepid lawyers will be taking on the Black Mountains for a weekend, attempting to cross this demanding terrain and raising money for the charity at the same time.
Making a difference
The results of Macfarlanes’ fundraising efforts are going towards funding a play area in the Morgan Stanley Clinical Building, due to open in 2012. As the hospital is going through a major redevelopment programme, Macfarlanes support is helping us to provide state of the art facilities for our patients.
