Leading international law firm, Herbert Smith LLP, has chosen Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity as its 2009 firm wide charity of the year.
Raising funds for a new ultrasound machine
We are delighted to be working with Herbert Smith who will be raising funds for a new ultrasound machine at a cost of £30,000; the new machine will be used daily and will benefit over 1,800 children each year.
Any funds raised over and above this amount will help to rebuild and refurbish the hospital, buy vital equipment and fund pioneering research.
Staff fundraising and events
Throughout 2009, Herbert Smith staff will be raising money through events including charity quiz nights, theatre trips and seasonal events such as its Christmas parties. Staff will also be taking on a number of sporting challenges such as the London Triathlon, London Marathon to help them keep fit for a good cause.
