Property investment and outsourcing company Mapeley Estates Limited has become the primary sponsor of Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Nautical Nurses, who will be rowing 2,500 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean to fund research into life threatening metabolic disorders.
Our two brave nurses set off in December 2007 and are hoping to raise at least £250,000 from their gruelling challenge. Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children is one of Mapeley’s key chosen charities and as part of its commitment it has agreed to provide the team with essential equipment for the crossing.
Since the Company’s sponsorship of this event they have chosen to extend their support of Great Ormond Street Hospital and have entered into a 3-year fundraising partnership raising even more funds towards research for metabolic disorders.
