Michael Page International has kindly chosen Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity as its charity of the year partner for 2009-2011.

Raising funds for an adolescent recreation room

Michael Page and Page Personnel are working towards raising £120,000 to fund an adolescent recreation and dining room in the Neurosciences ward of the new Morgan Stanley Clinical Building, which is due for completion in 2012. The room will provide a much needed area for patients away from their beds where they can relax, have fun, make friends and get their homework done. This brings just a little bit of normality into what is an exceptionally difficult time of their lives.

Staff fundraising and events

Throughout 2009, Michael Page staff raised money through events such as the Michael Page Golf Day in Burhill and a Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, which took place in October 2009. The latter saw 103 staff, including Michael Page International’s Chief Executive Steve Ingham, taking on the arduous 25 mile hike and raising over £50,000 for the charity. Michael Page's network of Charity Champions has also been busy fundraising to great success with activities such as quiz nights and office tuck shops.

Additionally, Staff put their CSR days to very good use; volunteering for the charity throughout the year at events such as; 2009 FORMULA 1™ SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX, Arsenal Charity Match Day, BOND NOEL and the Winter Wonderland Children’s Christmas party.

In 2010 Michael Page look set to build on their phenomenal fundraising success of 2009 with plenty of events and activities in the pipeline.
