We are very thankful to national law firm Shoosmiths, who have funded two brand new vital ventilators for our intensive care wards.
Shoosmiths has a successful combination of staff fundraising and company support, which comes in the way of donations for prompt payment, sponsorship of our children’s Christmas party in 2007 and matched-funding for their employees’ fundraising efforts.
Shoosmiths' staff across seven offices have been incredibly busy fundraising and volunteering for us, helping us collect donations at Silverstone, launching their new fundraising initiative ‘Running Shoos’ with a treadmill marathon in each office and creating ‘Bedside Tales’, an anthology of short stories and poems for children they are producing and selling internally. One of their largest fundraisers of the year is their annual Promises & Presents Auction, a week-long online charity auction which, this year, included televisions, home-baked Christmas hampers, a shoe-shine by the CEO and a daily hand-delivered chocolate to the winner’s desk for a month.
