Disney VoluntEARS at Peter Pan Treasure Hunt

Twenty eight enthusiastic Disney VoluntEARS attended the Peter Pan Treasure Hunt on Saturday 11 July and bravely faced crocodiles, pirates and Lost Boys – all in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Playtime was filled with fairies sprinkling magic dust and mermaids lolling in a lagoon, themed pirate actors were capturing Lost Boys, while celebrity visitors read stories to families. Disney cast members generously gave their time and skills to help - including setting up, displaying merchandise, selling raffle tickets, running interactive activities for children and handing out goodie bags.

For me, seeing the smiles on the children’s faces taking part in the treasure hunt was wonderful but knowing that it was helping other children who may not be well enough to attend made the event truly magical and a memory I will cherish.

Being part of such a powerful group of Disney VoluntEARS was remarkable, it gave me a real sense of pride to know that work colleagues and I can come together to support such a worthy cause

Disney is helping Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity raise £10 million to help pay for a brand new restaurant, café and Disney Interactive Zone. This will help to make Great Ormond Street Hospital a nicer place to be for all the children and their families.
