Do you want to take up the challenge?

The application system for the London Marathon 2009 has changed.

You can apply online for your own place in the London Marathon which is set to be on 26 April 2009. The Flora London Marathon public ballot will be solely online and will close either on 5 September 2008 or when 120,000 entries are reached.

To make your online application for your own place go to www.london-marathon.co.uk. Do hurry as the ballot places will fill faster than ever this year!

Golden Bond place

To double your chances of getting a place, you can also apply for one of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity’s Golden Bond places.

We ask our runners to pledge to raise £1,800 and in return we will offer you our full support as you undertake this amazing challenge.

To apply for one of our Golden Bond places please download an application form here (PDF) and return it to us. We will allocate our Golden Bond places following the announcement of the results of the official ballot in September.
