Fundraising and Refunds

As a runner on our team, you would pay 2:09 Events Ltd directly for the cost of the package yourself, and we will send you the fundraising materials to raise as much money as you can for us. There is no minimum target to reach! However, in order to help you as much as possible, some of your costs will be refunded by the charity if you manage to achieve certain fundraising targets.

In order for you to be recognised as an official member of our team, and thus become eligible for a refund, you must contact us with your full name and address, contact number and email address, to let us know that you are running on our behalf.

If you run for us on a full package you are eligible for the following three levels of refund:

Level 1

If you can raise £2,300 for our charity, we will refund £1,291.
This is equivalent to the package cost for entry into the race, return flights and 3-nights in a twin room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Level 2

If you can raise £1,799 for our charity, we will refund £799.
This is equivalent to the flight and entry cost element of your package.

Level 3

If you can raise £1,212 for our charity, we will refund £212.
This is equivalent to the race entry fee.

If you run for us on a flight and entry package, you will only be eligible for either a Level 2 or 3 refund.

Refunds will only be available upon request after the team fundraising deadline on 2 February 2009, and we will require proof of your expenditure in the form of an invoice from the tour operator. We are not able to refund more than £1,291 to any participant.
