Key milestones for Phase 2B – a timetable

2012–2017


  • 2B enabling works (to move wards out of the cardiac wing, into newly refurbished areas across the hospital campus) - mid 2012 – July 2013

  • Work to begin on land between the Morgan Stanley Clinical Building and the New Clinical Building, including removing old foundations and installing drainage (in 2016, this area will become a shared courtyard for the two buildings) - commences August 2012
     
  • Redevelopment of the Cardiac wing commences (including refurbishing levels 2 and 3, and dismantling and rebuilding the floors above) - due to commence in August 2013

  • The new clinical building (2B) and the courtyard are due to open in 2017.
