Fun and excitement

The day was full of exciting and memorable activities, and as well as the shoot, guests enjoyed a spectacular private air display from both the Red Arrows and the Black Cats who then joined guests for lunch.

The surprise guest speaker was comedy legend Ronnie Corbett, who provided the after lunch entertainment in his own classic style, whilst renowned auctioneer Nick Bonham started the auction, raising £500 by selling a £10 note.

Fantastic fundraising

The event raised just under £200,000 which will go towards our current redevelopment programme to rebuild and refurbish the hospital.

The Red Arrows generously donated an amazing auction prize for four patients of Great Ormond Street Hospital to visit the home of the world famous Red Arrows where they will get to meet the team, attend the pilots' briefing and watch a display practice before joining the team for lunch.

This amazing lot raised £5,000 and will give four of our young patients the experience of a lifetime.

Andrew Taee, Chairman and Founder of the event, said “This has been a very difficult year to host this event with the economic downturn.  It just shows how generous people are in this country, when asked they all dug deep and made it a very special day, nothing is more important than caring for people who are sick especially children and Great Ormond Street needs this vital support”.
