Snowball Rally 2010

Looking for an exciting challenge this Spring? Team places are now available for the 2010 Snowball Rally - a unique combined motorsport and ski event open to anyone and which will raise vital funds for the charity.

Snowball Rally itinerary

Wednesday 21 April

Meet at the Brands Hatch motor racing circuit at 4pm. We are providing an opportunity for teams to take their chosen cars onto the world famous motor circuit for several laps under ‘Safety Car’ conditions.

The rally will then make its way to Dover and pick up a ferry to Calais. Each team will be required to stop at various checkpoints on route overnight to the French Alps.

Thursday 22 April

On arrival Tuesday AM, teams will all check in to the 3 Star Curling Hotel in Tignes Val Claret and will spend a day skiing the Espace Killy Ski Region.

At 5pm teams will compete in our slalom competition, followed by a BBQ and some serious après ski. The winning team of the slalom competition will win a high octane Zapcat powerboat experience.

Friday 23 April

“The Killy Rally”, this is a ski challenge full day event where teams will race to checkpoints in the far corners of the vast Espace Killy ski region.

Saturday 24 April

“Sprint to The Ring” Once shown out of Tignes by police escort, teams will drive through Europe on a staged rally with a number of checkpoints on route, finishing at the most notorious Motor Circuit in Europe – The Nurburgring.

Sunday 25 April

On Sunday morning we will have a Circuit Briefing in the Snowball Rally Paddock right next to the start area. Then it’s over to you! The circuit is open for public driving where you will take on the most notorious circuit in Europe for as many laps as you like.

The prize winners of the ‘Killy Rally’ will experience the Nurburgring at racing speeds in a BMW M5 with a Pro Driver. The circuit is open to all cars and any experience of driver, so whether you are a complete petrol head or just thrashing your company car, you are sure to have an amazing time.

By lunch time your tyres should be bald and engine toast, so we will have our Snowball Rally Prize Giving, we have some great prizes and trophies to award.

‘Dash to Blighty’ this last dash through Germany, Belgium and France will take you to Calais to make the evening ferry back to Dover and if your quick you should be in the local for last orders.
