Many of our runners enjoyed the Marathon experience so much that they had to write and tell us:

Bryan Stocker wrote:

"The organisation and communication from the initial bond acceptance through to the race reception has been immaculate. A special word on the reception, the venue, the massage, the welcome, the selection of food and drink made the already very special day just perfect. And thanks to the cheering squad too, I couldn't wait to reach them, and their enthusiasm was a real tonic"

Peter Coulter wrote:

"A huge thanks for treating us like royalty after the marathon - it made the day being able to sit down and have a cup of tea and a sandwich just 300 yards from the finish, not to mention a massage. It was a great experience."

Dedicated GOSH supporter Duncan Gibbons said:

"Thanks for all your support over the last few months and thanks in particular for being so nice at the reception today. It was lovely to get a cup of tea and to be so pampered and looked after. And it was so kind of you to soak my T-shirt (can't believe I made such a mess of it) and to offer to let me jump the massage queue. I thought everything was superbly organised."

David Keel was equally thrilled:

"I want to thank everybody at GOSH for the excellent hospitality at the ICA. The round of applause as we walked up the stairs was greatly appreciated along with the refreshments. I even think that the massage, whilst painful at times, really helped to speed up my recovery."

Self-styled Captain Lovely (aka Tony Gaines):

He ran in such a fetching pink outfit that he was spotted by and appeared on BBC TV. He is hoping to raise over £2,000 for GOSH, where his child is a patient.

GOSH nurses, Susan Neal and Joanne Brind, put their best feet forward for GOSH, and were so thrilled by the experience that both hope to run the Marathon again. In fact, Susan has already vowed to run in next year's event.
