Uni-ball one year in partnership

We are delighted to be celebrating one year of being in partnership with uni-ball, and what a fantastic year it has been!

The partnership launched in June 2016 with a promotion on the sales of their best-selling uni-ball eye pens which are being sold in various high street retailers across the UK, as well as on the GOSH Shop. The initial partnership target was £50,000 but at the end of year one Uni-ball have raised over £75,700!

During this year, the partnership has developed and uni-ball have found other ways to support GOSH charity as well as bringing some extra colour to the hospital.

We were delighted to have the uni-ball team be part of our annual patient Christmas party. The team at Uni-ball brought crafting fun with an artist to help the children create unique Christmas decorations. Uni-ball also generously provided a ‘Doodle Wall’ for the patients and their siblings to show off their artistic talent as well as donating pens for the goody bags.

Over the year, Uni-ball has also generously donated pens to the hospital including lots of art pens – from their POSCA range – for the play team to use. On the isolation wards, where patients can remain in their rooms for extended periods patients, parents and staff have used the pens to decorate the windows of their bedrooms to bring some colour and fun to their surroundings. In some cases, the children used the pens to play games with the children in the next room using the windows between the beds!

Adding to their fundraising total, Uni-ball have launched several other initiatives to support the charity, included a B2B catalogue promotion and over the festive period they teamed up with pen specialist, cultpens.com, to run a Christmas promotion.

Staff at Uni-ball were also inspired to fundraise, holding bake sales and entering a team into the Rock Solid Race, a challenging, and muddy, obstacle race.

We are pleased to say that Uni-ball will be continuing to support the charity so please look out for new promotions launching soon.
