The difference you will make

Great Ormond Street Hospital is an extraordinary place and it needs your help! We can provide a choice of tangible long-lasting funding options that will make a huge difference to the lives of seriously-ill children and their families nationwide.

Our funding options are concentrated in four areas:

Urgently needed hospital redevelopment

The hospital is currently going through an ambitious and much-needed redevelopment programme that will see some of its most outdated buildings brought into the 21st century. This will allow room for a parent to sleep by their child's side, and equip clinicians with state-of-the-art facilities that aptly reflect their specialist skills.

Pioneering research

In partnership with our research partner UCL Institute of Child Health, Great Ormond Street Hospital is the largest dedicated funder of paediatric research in the country. Funding our research programmes will help to find new and better treatments for the benefit of children not just in the UK but across the world.

Essential medical equipment

The purchase of replacement or additional medical equipment enables the clinical and research teams to take advantage of breakthroughs in medical science and technology to deliver better care to children, and to replace old equipment that is no longer fit for purpose.

Patient and parent welfare

We know that having a child in hospital is extremely difficult. We aim to relieve some of the pressure by providing services such as parent and patient accommodation and play specialists.

We would be delighted to discuss the different funding options available to ensure we find a project that resonates with your employees.

The difference your company can make:

• £25,000 can help fund a play specialist at the hospital for year, providing much needed interaction with children who are confined to their bed or ward.

• £100,000 can fund a single en-suite bedroom, providing greater privacy for the child and their family and allowing a parent or carer to sleep by their child’s bedside.

• £300,000 can help fund our family support programs, providing family assistant vouchers for low income families and Parent Liaison Advice Services for comfort and support.

• £500,000 can fund one four-bed bays on the new Surgery Centre ward, part of our major redevelopment project.
