The Ashraf family tell us why they joined the Friends Membership Scheme.
"We have seen at first hand how everything is centred on the welfare of the child, which in turn has made our life as parents so much easier. Joining Friends about three years ago was an easy way to say thanks and give something back to the hospital.
"Rather than pay a few pounds in a charity box and forget about it, Friend’s membership is an easy way of keeping engaged, learning through the stories of others, and finding the odd hidden treat which raises the spirits enormously, e.g. attending the First Emperor Exhibition (when all my friends at work couldn’t get tickets!).
"More importantly it reinforces the sense of belonging that we have a special child who can draw comfort from the fact that she is a part of a special group of children who are overcoming some significant hurdles with great courage and patience."
