Improved facilities for childhood cancer

Simeon

It is vital that Great Ormond Street Hospital provides the very best care, equipment and facilities for our cancer patients from across the UK and all over the globe.

We need to raise funds for the following priority areas:

State-of-the-art Cell Sorting and Analysis Facilities

This project underpins the majority of the childhood cancer research projects undertaken at the hopsital and is vital to the continuing success of this work.  Diagnosing our young cancer patients, tailoring their treatments and understanding their condition depends on being able to recognise, analyse and separate specific types of cells from a mixture of cells.  This vital new facility will help us to do this and will play a key role in the successful  treatment of  thousands of our young cancer patients each year.

Improved Facilities for Children with Brain Tumours

Through this initiative we hope to create world class clinical and surgical facilities for Children with Brain Tumours, ensuring that those with this life-threatening cancer can receive the best level of care possible in the most suitable environment.

With your support we can ensure that many more children make a full recovery from their illness and live a full life into adulthood.  Together we can make new findings, develop new treatments and create new hope for more children with cancer.

If you would like to find out more about any of the projects, or talk to us about an area of particular interest, please contact Chris Chaney on 020 7239 3079.
