People fundraise for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity for a number of different reasons – some have had a child treated at the hospital and have a close connection to the charity, and others just recognise the life-changing work that happens in the hospital every day.
This page is dedicated to our wonderful HAIRraisers and their incredible stories. Read about their motivation to raise funds for HAIRraising and the weird and wonderful ways they did it.
Theo Silveston's story
Theo’s daughter Maiya has two conditions that affect her hearing, widening of the Vestibular Aquaducts and Mondini Malformation, and she underwent a cochlear implant at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) 18 months ago. Theo, owner of Kink hair salon, was keen to give something back to the hospital and decided to hold a fundraising HAIRathon.
