Meet the Friends team

The Friends Membership Team has a staff of three who between them manage the Friends Membership Scheme on a daily basis. We would like to introduce ourselves to you.

 

Patsy CowenPatsy Cowen

I am probably a familiar face to many of you as I work in the hospital main reception at the Friends Membership Scheme desk. Many new Friends Members sign up with me or renew their membership when visiting the hospital. I also sell a popular range of Friends t-shirts and fleeces which I notice many of you were wearing at Paradise Wildlife Park. Part of my job that I really enjoy is meeting patients and their families, many of whom become regular visitors and friends so next time you are in the hospital make sure you come and say hello.

I make sure that Welcome packs are sent out as soon as payment has been banked and your details have been recorded on our database. I also let you know when it is time to renew your membership and when you phone with enquiries it is usually me at the other end of the telephone. I collate the Crewmate newsletter and this year was the main organiser of our Annual Friends Membership Event at Paradise Wildlife Park. It was fantastic to see so many of you on the day having such a brilliant time.

I am the new girl in the team! My job is making the Friends Membership Scheme even better so that we can attract lots of new members and increase the support we can give to the hospital. At the moment I am busy planning how we can make our 10th birthday year really special, more details will be included in the next issue of The Friendship Club Magazine, so watch this space!
