Why I became a Friend
Holly Mai Clark became a 'Friend' aged just four months old. She is now
two years old.
"I have a complex heart condition and had my first operation at three months old, my second at four months and my third at eight months.
"I have made many friends at Great Ormond Street Hospital and so have my mum and dad - some who are nurses and some who are special like me. My grand-dad and momma have been fundraising and have raised £10,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
"I am now two years old and doing well, but will need more surgery as my heart is really poorly so I will see my friends again. What I miss most when I'm in hospital is all my family and friends (and my toys). I want to say to anyone waiting to go to hospital, "It's not that bad, everyone's really nice and your family spoil you."
I love music and dancing and also like books; my favourite TV programme is Tweenies, whom I have met."
