This year, The BRIT Awards 2008 in conjunction with MasterCard, has further added to its charity recipient list by welcoming Great Ormond Street Hospital to promote their Kiss it Better appeal at both the launch and the main event. Raising money to fund research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancer, The BRITs are proud to be associated with the appeal.
Kiss it Better lapel badges in the shape of a heart and a kiss will be on sale at The BRITs for a minimum donation of £1. In the run-up to the BRITs the lapel badges will also be available to buy at Universal Music sites, with the money raised going to the Kiss it Better Campaign and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Universal Music UK Vice President of International Marketing, Hassan Choudhury says: “For very personal reasons both this hospital and campaign are extremely important to me. Every badge sold will go on to help cure and prevent these cancers resulting in many little children’s lives being saved. Only a small donation could make a huge difference…..please support this campaign.”
