GOSH at The X Factor

Sunday 8 December 2013

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) took centre stage during tonight’s episode of The X Factor.

Inspirational patient Kaychanel, 10, was the star of a special film broadcast during the show highlighting the incredible work done by GOSH and Together For Short Lives.

Kaychanel has been treated at the hospital since she was born. Thanks to the home haemodialysis service pioneered by the team at GOSH she can now receive dialysis much closer to home at East Anglia Children’s Hospice in Quidenham.

Patients on Eagle Ward also made a guest appearance in the footage as they received a visit from The X Factor finalists this week. They enjoyed a morning of games and crafts with Rough Copy, Sam Bailey, Luke Friend and Nicholas McDonald.

Syco will donate 100 per cent of profits from the sales of each CD single and download to be shared equally between Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Together for Short Lives. This donation will be at least £1 for each CD sold in the UK and at least 20p for each download sold in the UK.

The song, which will be available to download once the winner is crowned on 15 December, will be the sixth charity release from The X Factor.
