The Valentine’s Party, Big Hearts for Little People supports Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity

On Sunday 8 February families, friends and society guests attended the Valentine’s Party, Big Hearts for Little People event to help raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

The special Valentine’s themed party was attended by magician Dynamo, who performed close-up magic, and guests including some of London’s top entrepreneurs and their families.

The event helped to raise an incredible £145,000 which will go towards funding en-suite bedrooms as part of the hospital’s redevelopment. The new state-of-the-art facilities will make cramped and outdated wards a thing of the past, providing privacy for patients as well as space for them to stay comfortably by their child’s bedside.

The Valentine’s Party, Big Hearts for Little People was organised and attended by a committee of the charity’s dedicated supporters and London entrepreneurs led by Sayoko Teitelbaum including; Maryam Akhavan, Samantha Bauer, Nathalie Esfandi, Alys Garman, Nicole Gazal O’Neil, Deana Goldstein, Patricia Haimes, , Shona Hampel, Elizabeth Hawtin, Leila Moghadam, Pippa Vosper and Saskia Winbergh. The committee hopes to raise £500,000 for the charity over the next three years with a range of fundraising activities and events.

The very special party also included child-friendly activities such as arts and crafts, cupcake decorating, face painting, t-shirt printing and much more. There was also an exclusive opportunity for adult party goers to bid on the luxury silent auction, buy scratch card raffle tickets and pledge donations towards specialist equipment at the hospital, including portable heart monitors. Each pledge was then displayed on a decorative gift tree.

Guests also had the opportunity to purchase the limited edition ‘Big Hearted’ bracelet by world renowned jewellery designer Stephen Webster. The beautiful ‘Big Hearted’ creation features a 10ct rose gold heart set with pink opal crystal haze on a gold plated sterling silver chain. The iconic piece is available to purchase now for £250 with all profits going towards Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
