Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the hospital’s Friends Membership Scheme with a fabulous party at the Annual Friends Family Fun Day.
The event takes place on Saturday 6 September at Paradise Wildlife Park, Broxbourne, Hertfordshire and promises a host of games and activities in a dedicated event area in addition to the attractions of the animal park. Friends of Great Ormond Street Hospital help to raise money for vital medical equipment through annual subscriptions and donations. Funds raised from the 2008 Family Fun Day will go towards a new, state of the art CT scanner, to help the hospital diagnose and treat more children.
There will be fantastic prizes for the best fancy dress in jungle or animal theme, face painting, toy tombola, raffle with a Nintendo Wii as the top prize, party games and more. As well as access to the animal park, guests will also be able to enjoy the Rainforest experience and explore the Reptile Temple, Speedway Museum, Pirates Cove and Adventureland - enough to keep the whole family entertained!
Holby City’s Nadine Lewington and another special celebrity guest will also be on hand to help cut the birthday cake, judge the fancy dress competition and draw the raffle.
Everyone is invited to join the celebrations but all Friends members qualify for FREE tickets as a thank you for supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital; child members also receive an extra ticket for an accompanying carer. Tickets can be purchased through the Friends Membership Scheme at a discounted price of £7 per child and £8 per adult (free for children under two years old).
