World-class facilities that embrace the latest technologies are vital to the hospital's ability to make a real and long lasting impact on the health of children across the globe.

We are currently in Phase 2A of our ambitious redevelopment programme to rebuild two thirds of the hospital, the Morgan Stanley Clinical Building.

Progress to date

BAM have been appointed as the contractor and In May 2009 we were able to break ground on the new building. The construction work is progressing well, on time and within the agreed budget.

The excavation of the basement and the support piles to form the foundations are now complete. The construction of the floors has commenced with the basic skeleton of the building including columns and floors completed to level five.

Three buildings had to be demolished to clear the way for our first new building
