Football presenter Gary Lineker has brought the language of the beautiful game to his role as Patron of the Tick Tock Club, announcing to supporters that they are closing the gap on their target of raising £10 million.
He said: "I am delighted to announce the excellent news that the Tick Tock Club now has 85 members, and with your support we have raised £8.8 million. My experience in football has taught me that the game is won in the second half and I believe we are nearing the final whistle."
Since its launch in May 2006, 85 people have joined the Tick Tock Club and put it within reach of its £10 million target.
