The X Factor stars visited Great Ormond Street Hospital to shoot scenes for the charity single video. They also met patients and staff. We spoke to them about the experience.
Lloyd and Lucie
Lloyd: "I
found it really hard – just understanding what they are going through.
"It was
brilliant to see how brave the children were – so happy despite what they are
going through."
Lucie: "I am
ecstatic that I am able to use this X Factor appearance as a force for good. This
is what fame should be all about."
Kandy Rain
The girl band are Azi Jegbefume, Khatereh Dovani, Coco Lloyd and Chemmane Applewhaite. They performed on the wards.
Coco: "It
was amazing. One of the best things in my life I have ever done. I
had such a great time. It really
makes the record worth it."
Azi: "It
puts life into perspective. It
was an amazing atmosphere. One big family. How hard everyone works.
"It
was like a little party. The kids had so much fun. The
kids are inspiring. So happy when they are so ill.
"This
makes you realise life is so precious. Today
was a good experience – a really, really good experience. "
Chemmane: "You
suddenly appreciate that you wake up in your own bed and these children don’t."
"They
had to ask us to leave. I could have done that all day. It gave me such
satisfaction to put those smiles on their faces. "
"You’re
so busy with you life – this makes you realise these are more important things
to be thinking about.
"People
need to be more aware of others – they are so wrapped up in themselves. "
