Never Far Away: Essex Appeal

Charlotte, Freddie, Austin and Bradley at home

Seriously ill children want to be metres from mum and dad, not miles. Never far away.

Keeping families together during difficult times is vital

Our new Never Far Away: Essex Appeal aims to raise £300,000 to cover the running costs of three patient and family accommodation facilities at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) for a year.

Right now, due to the challenges of COVID-19, the hospital needs the support of the charity more than ever before so we can continue to provide the best possible care and support for families and seriously ill children from across the UK. With travelling to and from the hospital being much more challenging than before and with many hotels no longer being an option to stay at, our family accommodation is a lifeline for families at this difficult time.

We are asking local communities to get behind this appeal and help build a community of fundraisers to support seriously ill children like Austin.

If you feel that you could support us to fundraise for our family support services, please do get in touch. Just £35 raised will help to cover the cost of a family being able to stay in our charity funded accommodation for one night.

Not from Essex? We'd still love to hear from you, email neverfaraway@gosh.org or complete our form and we will be in touch.
