Help GOSH continue its life-changing care

Thank you to everyone who was able to support our COVID-19 appeal, which meant we were able to fund Great Ormond Street Hospital’s (GOSH) most urgent needs during the first peak of the COVID-19 crisis.

But as the hospital moves from those initial challenges, it’s facing new ones, and needs the support of the charity, more than ever, to continue delivering the best, life-changing care for seriously ill children.

Please donate below to support GOSH Charity.

How will my support help the hospital?

Right now, the hospital is catching up with appointments and procedures for a large number of patients, whose non-urgent treatments were suspended to treat COVID-19 patients, and is doing so with social distancing and testing measures in place.

Your support means we can:

  • Help the hospital care for some of those patients remotely by funding technology into tele-medicine, so children and their families can report on their health directly from home.

  • Make sure that, for those children and their families who still need to come in to GOSH, their experience is the best possible during these difficult times, by continuing to fund vital services. Services such as the Play team, who work with children and help build their resilience during, and beyond, this crisis; and parent accommodation so families can stay together while their child is in hospital.

  • Continue to develop key hospital projects, such as the new Sight and Sound Centre, the UK's first dedicated facility for children with sight and hearing loss.

  • Fund mental health and wellbeing initiatives for the hospital’s amazing staff, who have done so much during this crisis, as well as provide them with specialist equipment for critical services to work remotely.

Life-changing care

The need for the charity to support the hospital in delivering the very best in life-changing care to children with rare and complex conditions hasn’t changed because of the COVID-19 crisis or as we move beyond – the work is more important than ever to ensure there is no longer term impact on the care the hospital can deliver to seriously ill children, once the crisis is over.

Like other charities, GOSH Charity is facing disruption to its fundraising activities with many cancelled due to the ongoing crisis. Any support you can give will help to ensure the needs of the hospital continue to be met through this crisis and beyond, especially as those needs may change with time.

Please donate above to help us battle this crisis.
