There's no minimum fundraising requirement but we ask each Santa to raise £150. By taking part and fundraising you will help Great Ormond Street Hospital's specialist Play therapy team to make children's experience in hospital as stress-free this Christmas.
You can dash, jog or walk the route, it’s completely up to you! There’s no set time but if you’re a 10k runner, you will need to factor in longer to cover two laps of the route.
Please note that this isn’t a chip timed race but there will be timing clocks to track your finish time if you want to.
There are lots of exciting things happening at the event, so there is no rush to complete the course in a specific time.
Yes! Entering as a team is an exciting way of taking part. Why not get some friendly competition going?
Share our event page online with your friends, family and colleagues and tag your Santa squad.
No, the race stars at 11am and 10k runners will be asked to start first, with 5k runners following shortly after.
Our event village is open from 9.30am and there'll be a group warm up before the race begins.
If you sign up before Thursday 30 November, your pack will be sent to you by first class post before the event. If you sign up from Thursday to Saturday evening, your pack will be ready for you to collect at the event village on Sunday 3 December.
Santa suits are one-size-fits-all for adults, although there are two sizes available for children.
Santa suits will not be provided for infant entries, but we encourage little ones to come in festive fancy dress.
Yes! There’ll be loads of great things going on at London Santa Dash, including a snow machine, live music, brass bands, carol singers, mulled drinks and mince pies, to name but a few! Christmas really will be coming early.
We do not set any minimum fundraising targets, but we ask our runners to fundraise and suggest a target of £150.
Many of our patients will be spending their Christmas at GOSH. Your registration fee helps cover the cost of the event, but it’s your fundraising which will help make Christmas a little more special for our patients and their families.
By running together and fundraising, you will make a real difference to the seriously ill children at GOSH this Christmas.
You’ll help fund our specialist Play therapy team, providing activities to aid children’s treatment and recovery and help them understand their illness better, making their hospital experience as stress-free as possible.
There’s no age limit – everyone’s welcome at London Santa Dash!
Everyone can take part in the 5k distance but if you want to take on the 10k distance, you must be over 16 years old.
Please note that if you are under the age of 16, you will need a parent or guardian’s consent to take part.
There will not be any changing facilities at the event, therefore we encourage you to arrive in your Santa suit. It’s a good conversation starter if you’re dressed as Santa on the tube!
There will be toilet facilities at the event.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day at London Santa Dash.
Of course. London Santa Dash is for everyone, whether you want to walk, jog or dash!
As you cross the London Santa Dash finish line you’ll be given a medal along with some festive surprises.
