Stars come out in force for Christmas Carol Concert

The stars were out in force last night for the 17th annual Christmas Carol Concert for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Classic FM presenter Myleene Klass hosted the magical night at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, with other celebrity guests including Katherine Kelly, Sure Johnston, Matt Barber, Victoria Yeates and Jessica Hynes. The night featured stunning performances from The London Fellowship Band, Fulwich College Chapel Choir and Band of the Grenadier Guards, as well as some festive readings from celebrities, patients and hospital staff.

“It was a privilege for me to host this special Christmas Carol Concert,” said Klass. “Great Ormond Street Hospital is such an inspiring and positive place with some of the bravest patients and families I have ever met. I feel honoured to help and be a part of this fantastic charity this Christmas.”

More than 700 guests gathered to sing carols, celebrate Christmas and raise vital funds for the charity’s Room to Breathe appeal, to help children from across the UK with rare and severe respiratory conditions. The money raised by the appeal will help to fund a specialist ward which will provide comfort, space and privacy to patients and families when they need it most.
