Nesting boxes

Get out in the garden and make a glamorous new home-from-home for any feathered visitors.

What to do

Use a spare cardboard box to make a beautiful bird box. First, tape down all the flaps, then seal any openings.

Help your child cut a hole in the centre of your box, then decorate it for your flying friends.

Support from the Play team

“Harness the power of imagination and creativity with this exciting activity. This is a great way to introduce conversations about nature and science. Plus, cutting and sticking will help develop children’s fine motor skills.”
