Scavenger hunting

Create an exciting list of things to find!

What to do

  • All you really need for this activity is a pen, some paper and your imagination.
  • Start by compiling a list of objects to find.
  • Try following a theme – for example, find five objects that are a specific colour, or find things that begin with each letter of the alphabet.

Support from the Play team

“We know that being in one place can feel strange and overwhelming. By adding unexpected items to your scavenger list, you can encourage children to see spaces in a new and exciting way. Think about exploring all the senses. For example, they could find something that makes a noise or feels slimy or smells sweet.”
