On 5 December, charities and NGOs around the world mark International Volunteer Day, a day of recognition for the volunteers behind good causes everywhere. To celebrate, we met four Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) volunteers to talk about their work – and the wonders of life at GOSH!

GOSH patient Rafe is a BBC Radio 1 Teen Hero Finalist

A patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Rafe, is a Radio 1 Teen Hero finalist for 2017 and was recognised at the Radio 1 Teen Awards on Sunday 22 October. Last week, Rafe and his fellow ‘Teen Heroes’ were invited to a special reception at Kensington Palace to meet The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
