Introducing GOSH Streaming Week: Get your game face on for a good cause

2 Nov 2022, 9 a.m.

Put your streaming and content creation skills to the test this November. Stream your favourite game or challenge your friends, whilst you raise money to support seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Content creators and streamers, now’s the time to game for good! Between 7-13 November, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) is holding its first ever Streaming Week. GOSH Streaming Week aims to raise money for GOSH Charity by encouraging fans to tune in to their favourite online Streamers, or go one step further and set up their own fundraiser.

GOSH is a world-leading children’s hospital with the broadest range of dedicated healthcare specialists under one roof in the UK. The hospital sees around 600 children from across the UK arrive every day, with the rarest, most complex and often life-threatening conditions. GOSH Charity supports the hospital to provide extraordinary care, expertise and facilities that these children and their families need.

Liz Tait, Director of Fundraising at GOSH Charity said, “We’re delighted to be launching the first ever GOSH Streaming Week. It’s a relatively recent area of development for GOSH Charity fundraising, so we’re really looking forward to reaching new supporters and seeing the results.

“We’re also very grateful to the celebrity streamers for using their platforms to raise much needed funds and awareness of GOSH.”

Milky Queen, a British VTuber based in Japan, will be broadcasting daily never-seen-before content for GOSH Streaming Week. She said, “All the work that GOSH does is so important for helping children and their families.

“I'm excited to try streams outside of my comfort zone and have fun together with my supporters all for a great cause!”

The money raised through GOSH Streaming Week will help support the hospital’s most urgent needs, which could include ground-breaking research, advanced medical equipment, child and family support services, and the rebuilding of wards and medical facilities.

To get involved:

  • Follow your favourite streamer online and donate to their fundraiser: find out who’s streaming when by following @StreamForGOSH on Twitter or signing up to updates from their fundraising page via Tiltify.
