Amecia's story

When Amecia was born, she weighed just 1lb 7oz and was quickly diagnosed with chronic lung disease. But now, thanks to the hard work of the teams at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Amecia is doing well and enjoying school. This Friday she will be taking part in Bad Hair Day to raise money for GOSH and have enlisted the help of her classmates and teachers.

Freddie's story

Freddie was six years old when he was diagnosed with CAPS (Cryopyrin-Associated Periodic Syndrome), an extremely rare condition affecting around one in a million people. Now he’s taking part in Bad Hair Day to raise money and help other children at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). 

Celebrating the best present ever - Amelia's story

Just before Christmas, when she was four months old, Amelia suddenly collapsed due to an undiagnosed heart condition. After life-saving surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Amelia gave her parents the “best present ever” when she opened her eyes on Christmas Day.
