About Us

Great Ormond Street Hospital treats many thousands of patients each year - children who are suffering from the rarest, most complex and often life-threatening conditions. The NHS funds our day to day core activity but we need extra resources to deliver world class clinical care, research and staff training. That's where the hospital's charity steps in. Download the Charity's annual report here.

The Charity

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity aims to raise over £50 million this year to boost the NHS funding. Read our annual report, to find out how the money is spent. Find out how we are raising funds for the hospital's redevelopment, buying new equipment, supporting families and helping crucial new research.

The Hospital

Great Ormond Street Hospital offers the widest range of children services under one roof in Britain, and pioneers new treatments and drugs with its research partner, the UCL Institute of Child Health. Each year we have more than 150,000 patient visits.

How it all began
The Hospital has relied on the generosity of the public to keep it going for over 150 years. Read about our history here.
