Why we need your help

An extraordinary place that needs your help.

Great Ormond Street Hospital provides inspirational and world-class care to hundreds of children every day. But we need to raise over £50 million every year to help give hope to very sick children and their families.

Find out where your money goes.

Throughout its long history, Great Ormond Street Hospital has always relied on public support, even after the founding of the NHS in 1948. Our mission as a charity is to raise money to enable the hospital to continue to provide the very best care for its young patients and their families.

Watch our video to find out how we’re making a difference to the lives of children and their families and why we need your help.

If the video is not showing, please watch it on YouTube. A video transcript is also available.

The support from the charity is concentrated in four main areas ‑ redevelopment, research, medical equipment, and accommodation and welfare. Find out how far your support goes by reading through each of our sections below.
