Peter Pan Week and the Big Time Rhyme 3 - 7 March 2008

Thank you to everyone who took part in Peter Pan week 2008 and joined in the Big Time Rhyme!

The week was a fantastic success and we couldn't have asked for a better way to launch our first ever activity for schools and youth groups, in partnership with Oxford University Press.

To celebrate the launch of Peter Pan in Scarlet in paperback, we called on nurseries, schools and groups across the UK to help us smash The Guinness World Record for the most people reading a piece of poetry aloud at one time.

Guinness World Record results

Unfortunately we didn't meet the massive 250,000 target required to break the record,  however, a staggering 66,749 people took part and read "To the Top" from Peter Pan in Scarlet at 9.15am on 7 March 2008.

We raised an amazing £100,000 which will help us fund a new renal unit at the hospital.  A huge THANK YOU to all of you who took part.

Everyone who took part will become a member of the Peter Pan League and receive a special exclusive pin badge and participating schools and groups will receive a Peter Pan League certificate.
