How does the TCS London Marathon ballot work?
The 2023 TCS London Marathon ballot opened on Saturday 1 October and closed on Friday 7 October.
Normally, more people apply for a ballot place than there are places available for the marathon. The ballot is drawn at random, so everyone has the same chance of success.
What happens if I didnt get a place?
If you were unsuccessful in the ballot but you still want to be part of this incredible challenge, you could apply for one of our charity places.
Please note, we always receive more applications for the TCS London Marathon than we have places, so we can't guarantee that everyone who applies will be able to secure a marathon place.
Alternatively, you can register for a GOSH charity place in the Virtual TCS London Marathon. Places are available on a first come, first served basis.
