Access to and use of www.gosh.org is provided by Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity subject to the terms listed below.

  • 'Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity' means Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, a charity registered under number 09338724 with its registered office at 40 Bernard Street, London WC1N 1LE.
  • 'Website' means www.gosh.org, or any other website under Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity’s ownership or control from which a link has been created to these Terms and Conditions.
  • 'You', 'your' and 'yours' means the person(s) accessing the Website.

  • Material that is likely to incite hatred or violence against any person or group.

  • Material which concerns or relates to any criminal act.
  • Material the use or inclusion of which infringes any copyright, trademark, database or other intellectual property right of any third party.
  • Material made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence; material which promotes any illegal activity.
  • Material which is threatening, abusive or invades another’s privacy, causes annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.
  • Material which is likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person.
  • Material used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.
  • Material which gives the impression that it emanates from Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity or Great Ormond Street Hospital, if this is not the case.
  • Material that advocates, promotes or assists any unlawful act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse.
  • Material that breaches any applicable laws or legislation.

Service access

While we try to ensure that the website is normally available 24 hours a day, we shall not be liable if for any reason the website is unavailable at any time or for any period. Access to the Website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond our control.

Please note all photographs of our patients appear with the consent of the child and parent, and must not be reproduced in any form.

Contributions to www.gosh.org

Where you are invited to submit any contribution to www.gosh.org (including any text, graphics, video or audio) you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution, and in accordance with privacy restrictions set out in the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity Privacy Policy.

If you do not want to grant to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution to www.gosh.org.

By submitting your contribution to www.gosh.org you warrant that your contribution:

  • Is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to www.gosh.org for all the purposes specified above. 
  • Is not defamatory.
  • Does not infringe any law.

You also warrant to:

  • indemnify Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by www.gosh.org as a result of your break of the above warranty; and; 
  • waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on www.gosh.org and the purposes specified above.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity ensures that the prior written consent of patients and families whose photographs have been uploaded onto the Website have been obtained.

We reserve the right to include content from sites including but not limited to You Tube and Facebook. We do not control the privacy practices of these other sites. Users of such sites take full responsibility for their own content. We use our best endeavours to protect the interests of the individuals featured in the content on our website.

Governing law

These Terms of use shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute arising from these Terms of use or your use of the website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
