Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers. Now it needs a new home to help deliver breakthrough therapies. A world-class facility with children at its heart.

What the new Children's Cancer Centre will offer
A 20% increase in capacity, offering life-changing and life-saving care for more children
Digitally advanced inpatient wards tailored to children with cancer, allowing children to stay connected with loved ones in a ‘home from home’ environment
Increased capacity for research studies for families faced with few treatment options, with the hope to develop kinder treatments with less long-term side effects
A new critical care unit with dedicated family breathing spaces and on-site accommodation, allowing families to stay together at the most challenging of times
An increased focus on nutrition, physical activity and wellbeing for children with cancer, supporting their recovery and improving outcomes
New imaging technology that better reveals what’s happening inside cancer cells and improves GOSH’s diagnostic capability
A new hospital school with double the capacity and an outdoor garden
A sustainable environment with green spaces and a roof garden

How you can help us build it
GOSH has a team of dedicated doctors, nurses and researchers who are specialists in the most complex childhood cancers. And there are architects and builders who can transform the hospital. Now we just need people like you.
Who you'll be helping
Meet some of the children and young people treated at GOSH
"I'm my strongest when I'm around Maya. For some reason, she just gives me this strength that I just didn't know I had. You try and find a positive in all of this sadness.”
Last year, Maya underwent chemotherapy, immunotherapy and a bone marrow transplant at GOSH. Unfortunately, in January 2024 her parents discovered she had relapsed. Maya started CAR-T therapy in March 2024. Her mum Daisy shares their GOSH journey so far.
