GOSH Charity Skyline London to Brighton Cycle 2024 Highest Fundraiser Competition Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for the GOSH Charity Skyline Highest Fundraiser Competition (the “Competition”)

  1. The promoter of this Competition is Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, registered charity number 1160024 and company number 09338724, of 40 Bernard Street, London WC1N 1LE (the “Charity”).
  2. The Competition is open to all UK residents, aged 18 years or over, who satisfy the criteria in Clause 3 and 4 of these Terms and Conditions. This is except from employees of the Charity, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Competition.
  3. The Competition is free to enter and is open to those with either;

3.1. a confirmed Charity place in the 2024 Skyline London to Brighton Cycle (the “Event”), or

3.2. a general entry (own) place in the Event and have registered their place with the Charity (the “Participants”)

  1. To enter, participants must complete the Get Feedback form (https://surveys.gosh.org/r/V6XsKAuO) to confirm their entry into the Competition.
  2. The closing date of the Competition is midday (GMT, UK) on Friday 13th September 2024 (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
  3. The Charity accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network or server failure of any kind.
  4. The winner will be the individual who,

7.1 holds either a confirmed Charity place or general entry place in the Event, and

7.2 has the highest fundraising total based on individual fundraising income banked as at the Closing Date. The winner will receive a free £50 gift voucher for Ocado and a goody bag including GOSH branded gifts.

  1. The second place and third place runners up will be the two individuals who,

9.1 hold either a confirmed Charity place or General Entry (own) place in the Event; and

9.2 have raised the second and third highest fundraising total based on individual fundraising income banked as at the Closing Date, or

  1. the second place and third place runners up will each receive a cycling goody bag including a GOSH branded water bottle, a pair of GOSH branded shoelaces and a selection of sweets.
  2. The winner and runners up will be notified by email or telephone on, or shortly after, Monday 14th October 2024. If they do not respond within 28 days of being notified of their win, their prize will be forfeited.
  3. All winners and runners up must provide a residential postal address in the United Kingdom, which includes a valid postcode (“Valid Postal Address”), in order to claim their prize.
  4. Upon receipt of a Valid Postal Address, the prizes will be sent to the winners and runners up by post within 28 days. The Charity accepts no responsibility for the prize being lost, damaged or delayed in the post.
  5. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  6. The Charity reserves the right to replace a prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Charity's control makes it necessary to do so.
  7. The decision of the Charity regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  8. The winners’ names and counties can be obtained by sending an email to kitty.bowles@gosh.org within 28 days of the Closing Date.
  9. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon entry. The Charity reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  10. The Charity reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion or these Terms and Conditions where it becomes necessary to do so.
  11. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Charity, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss or damage occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Charity, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Charity’s, its agents or distributors or that of their employees, liability for fraud, personal injury or death, after which investigation if found to have been howsoever caused by the Charity, its agents or distributors or that of their employees.
  12. The winners may be asked to participate in publicity related to the Competition which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media. The winners have the right to choose not to participate in publicity.

20. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be used for the purpose of administering participants 2024 Skyline London to Brighton Cycle places and this Competition. Personal details will only be used for marketing purposes by email, telephone, mobile phone or text, if we have permission to do so (you may have already done this if you have registered your details with us previously). We may also send you marketing by mail in accordance with our Privacy Policy, www.gosh.org.uk/privacy.

21. The Charity reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

22. The Competition, and these Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim between the parties arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with the Competition and / or these Terms and Conditions, or their subject matter or formation.
