By playing our Christmas Raffle, you'll help make hospital feel more like home for children like seven-year-old Lily, who is being treated at GOSH for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, a rare type of cancer.

Lily spent last Christmas at GOSH, with her family staying close by in charity-funded family accommodation.

It was a difficult but special time for them, with lots of presents and even a visit from Father Christmas.

“Lily had so much attention from everyone,” her dad Saulius says. “She was on TV the week before Christmas. When the team came to film, they asked who they could interview, and the nurses pointed at her and said, ‘Go to Lily!’ She’s always smiling.”

During their stay, Lily and her family also went to the Snow Ball, an annual Christmas party hosted by Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity for patients and their families. “That was her first day out of the hospital in weeks,” Saulius says. “She was so happy. She had a great time even though she was a bit under the weather.”

Now, Lily’s on her second round of treatment at GOSH. “It’s worrying knowing that she’s starting chemotherapy again, but she’s a lot stronger, so hopefully everything’s going to go okay,” Saulius says.
