Celebrate and Donate

Celebrating your special occasion may look a bit different this year due to the COVID- 19 pandemic, but we still want you to have some well-deserved fun while raising money for a great cause.

  • Ask for donations instead of gifts for your celebration. You can do this by registering your event or setting up a Justgiving page
  • Set up a birthday Facebook fundraiser and invite your friends and family on Facebook to support it.
  • Don’t want to set up a fundraiser? That’s absolutely fine - make your own birthday/special occasion donation here.

Right now, Great Ormond Street Hospital needs the support of the charity more than ever, so it can continue to deliver the very best life-changing treatments and care for seriously ill children from across the UK.

Rebecca and Josh's Story

"GOSH's constant care for Hallie meant we were able to spend six special weeks with our gorgeous little girl. Six weeks that we were told we would never get and six weeks that a lot of families could only dream of spending with their child who is sick."

For Rebecca's birthday, she set up a Facebook Fundraiser in memory of her daughter, Hallie, raising an incredible £2,364.

“Our little Girl Hallie Usher was transferred to GOSH after two weeks of life, she was really poorly with an undiagnosed condition” explains Hallie’s dad, Josh.

“Since Hallie passed away in April 2019, we’ve tried to do lots of fundraising. We set up the Facebook birthday Fundraiser for Rebecca’s birthday and were able to reach such a vast number of people. We had friends donate from Australia and others from Europe and it would not have been possible if it wasn't so readily available for them to donate.”

Set up your own Facebook Fundraiser at www.facebook.com/fund/GreatOrmondSt and help us support more families, like Rebecca and Josh’s, with seriously ill children.

“You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.”

  • Building a better hospital so more parents to stay with their children.
  • Research to improve care and cures.
  • New equipment to help our exceptional doctors and nurses.
  • Patient and family support.
