Fundraising ideas
- Organise a fancy dress day at school or at home - choose a theme, whether that be doctors and nurses, Peter Pan or superheroes, or set a lockdown recycled outfit competition.
- Sponsored challenge - Get the whole school community involved in a fun sponsored challenge. Our doctors and nurses are still travelling to the hospital every day, so why not set a challenge for everyone to cover the distance from your school to GOSH virtually? You could also take on the 2.6 challenge as part of TeamGOSH.
- Lockdown poetry competition - Ask students to write a poem about lockdown. Set a suggested donation of £1 to enter with proceeds in aid of GOSH.
Charity of the Year partnerships
If you're thinking about your Charity of the Year for the 2020/21 academic year we would love you to choose us! We have loads of ideas and resources for schools and would be delighted to speak to you about your plans. You can get in touch on schools@gosh.org or 020 3841 3131.
School assemblies
Due to the current challenges presented by COVID-19, we're currently unable to organise an Ambassador or a member of staff in your area to speak at one of your assemblies. Alternatively, we have videos, presentations and materials that we can provide you with to create your own Great Ormond Street Hospital assembly. Please email schools@gosh.org for more information or have a look at our assembly resources online.
