This event raised £250,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

On Tuesday 8 September 2015, we were delighted to host the GOSH Rugby Gala, raising £250,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

What the event involved

GOSH Rugby Gala

The event took place at Rosewood London, one of the city’s finest five-star hotels. The Rosewood welcomed 300 guests who joined us in celebrating and supporting British rugby.

Alongside some of the country’s most popular rugby stars, guests enjoyed a Chapel Down fizz and canapé reception before being welcomed to a three-course meal.

The evening was filled with entertainment, with Kenny Logan and Olivia Wayne guiding guests through the night.

It commenced when former Britain’s Got Talent contestant Lucy Kay took to the stage and performed, and was followed by highlights including:

  • A question and answer session with top rugby stars.
  • A wizardry performance from Damien O’Brien.
  • A touching dialogue from guest speaker and former patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Cameron.
The AllStars Collective rounded off a successful evening with live musical entertainment.

Where your money will go

All money raised from the GOSH Rugby Gala will go towards funding a special piece of equipment that will help top surgeons at GOSH perform extremely complex brain surgery. Equipment like this is vital for keeping the hospital at the forefront of paediatric medicine.

Guest speaker Cameron was treated at GOSH as a 10 year old. He bravely fought and won his battle with a brain tumour.

With the support we have received, we are in a much more stable position to ensure that even more patients get the world-class care the they need to also experience a positive outcome.

Thank you

We would like to thank all those who helped put on such an exciting event, including the players who joined us on the night, our lead sponsor Chapel Down for their commitment to the event, and all our prize donors and volunteers who helped make the evening possible.
