We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity
Together with our supporters and fundraisers, we stop at nothing to help to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible. We do it by funding groundbreaking research, cutting-edge medical equipment and child-focused facilities to help save more young lives, and life-changing support that helps save childhoods, too.
For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) every day, and for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

Meet Ezra
Ezra was diagnosed with severe aplastic anaemia when he was four years old. This is a rare condition where the bone marrow and stem cells don’t produce enough blood cells, meaning Ezra’s body struggled to function, and infections were very risky.
In 2022, Ezra started an immunosuppressive treatment which stimulates the bone marrow to restart blood cell production, and in 2023 he had a bone marrow transplant at GOSH.
The transplant was a success, and Ezra is now back to enjoying all his favourite things, like running about in the park, making art and playing with his sister. He has monthly appointments at GOSH and is slowly being weaned off his medication.
"Ezra missed out on a lot of things because he was ill. His first day at school, learning to ride a bike, playing outside and going on trips or holidays. Physically and emotionally, GOSH was there for us, and that gave us hope. They encouraged his creativity, helped with his education and nurtured his abilities, so he was able to have his childhood in hospital. GOSH are lifesavers, I don’t really know how to put it into words – they are a beacon of hope."
